Emily L Williams

As a geographer and climatologist by training, I employ geospatial data, climate model output, and statistical methods to answer questions about climate change and climate accountability. My research is primarily focused on detection and attribution of how anthropogenic climate change—and emissions from major carbon producers— have contributed to western US hydroclimate impacts, including impacts on water, agriculture, and fire risk. My research sits at the intersection of climate science, policy, and law, aiming to produce actionable science that supports communities, policymakers, and courts in addressing climate change.
